A few long and straight drives atr8-fit, Richard handed the driver back to me, seemingly pleased. I find centre hits are easier to achieve and the resulting ball speed much more apparent. I play Tour Velvet myself, and i never had any problems with slippy grips. Yes, a tester or two did spray the ball around a bit.

Generally I thought changing the face and head alignment to be simple and straight forward to use but once you find a setting you like, I suggest you leave it. That being said I would say the MachSpeed is geared more toward higher handicappers. The driver is very easy to adjust — with a few turns of the included STR8-FIT wrench I was able to remove the head and move it to one of the other face angle positions in under a minute. A distinctive red Compression Channel runs from heel str8-fjt toe str8-flt the sole of the club and helps to increase the compression of the body to produce higher ball speeds on even off centre hits.

I would urge tsr8-fit to try both drivers to see which one you prefer. I First snapped the Project X 6.

I drove the ball well in all three range sessions and in my first test round, not as well in my second test round I think due to swinging a bit too hard and fastbut I have a lot of confidence in this driver, and it is now in my bag for the season. It just surprises me. Unlike the driver, the compression channel does not travel over the entire sole of the club, rather the sole plate covers the channel in the center of the plate, presumably so the channel does not catch when one hits the club off the turf.
